The grill is the easy purchase. What makes an outdoor kitchen work is everything around it: counter space on both sides, somewhere to put a plate down, a fridge within reach, and a spot for people to stand that isn't in the smoke. That's what we design first.
Every kitchen starts with a free visit to your home. We look at where the sun and the wind come from, how far you'll be walking from the indoor kitchen, and how many people you actually feed on a Sunday, and only then draw it. If you'd like the patio or a pergola over it considered while we're there, just say. If it's the kitchen only, that's what we'll build.

Plenty of people come to us for a BBQ island on an existing patio and nothing else, and we build exactly that. If you'd like pavers, lighting or a pergola over the kitchen looked at at the same time, mention it at the consultation and we'll fold it into the same plan. No pressure either way.

01How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in San Diego?
It depends on the size of the island, the appliances you choose and the finishes, so outdoor kitchens are quoted after a site visit. You can get a rough estimate over the phone. Terms and conditions apply.
02What's usually included?
A built island with countertop, a built-in grill, and storage. From there it's your choice: side burner, sink, fridge, bar seating, a pizza oven. We'll suggest a layout at the consultation and you decide what goes in.
03Do I need gas, water and power run to it?
A grill can run on a propane tank with nothing else. Natural gas, a sink and a fridge each need a line run to the island, which we plan and price as part of the job so nothing is a surprise later.
04Can it go on my existing patio?
Usually, yes. We check the surface and what's under it so the island sits level and the weight is supported. If the patio isn't sound enough, we'll tell you what's needed rather than build on it and hope.
05How long does it take?
Once materials are on site, most islands are built and finished in days, not weeks. The exact schedule depends on the size, the utilities being run and access to the yard. You get a written schedule before work begins.
06Do you supply the appliances?
We can supply and fit them, or fit ones you've already chosen. Either way we confirm the cut-out sizes before the island is built so everything drops in properly.
07Can I finance it?
Yes. Financing is offered on every package, so the kitchen can go in this season rather than in a few years.
08Which areas do you cover?
All of San Diego County and some parts of Riverside County. It's always best to confirm your area first so we can tell you straight away whether we can take the project on.
